The Department of Dance and Theatre is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, with approximately 400 theatre majors and minors in theatre. The Department offers a BA degree in Theatre with concentrations in Performance, Design/Technology, General Studies and Theatre Teacher Certification, and a BA degree in Dance and Dance Teacher Certification. The vibrant undergraduate program delivers a rigorous theatre education within a liberal arts context. The Department produces a full season (5-6 productions) as well as several laboratory events directed by faculty, guest artists, or students
Position Overview
The University of North Texas Dance and Theatre Department is searching for a qualified costume shop assistant. The assistant will be asked to perform a variety of tasks, including sewing, organization, moving costumes, laundry, construction, patterning, crafting, cleaning, and other duties dictated by the particular production. Must also demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills as they will be working with lab students and other staff and faculty members.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of theatrical experience (e.g. performance/design/backstage at any level)

Work Schedule:
Maximum of 25 hours during Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; to be determined in conjunction with supervisor.
