DataX Connect are partnered with a global real estate company who are dedicated to making an impactful difference to the data center/ mission critical sector.

This opportunity will be based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Relocation packages can be negotiated.

Due to outstanding growth and further investments to the business, they are looking to hire an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to take lead on multiple large data center builds.

The Position

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex commissioning projects across various sectors, working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record, possess strong leadership skills, and excel at problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated fluency in all commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirements.
  • Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems inspections, testing, and associated commissioning activities.
  • Monitor, review, and execute all facets of Commissioning related projects, providing exceptional technical expertise and field activities throughout the design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
  • Work directly with General Contractors, trades, inspectors, AHJs, and others involved with the QA/QC program execution for large critical facility construction and commissioning.
  • Perform thorough Commissioning Design Drawing & Specification Reviews, as well as Submittal (shop drawing) reviews.

Qualifications and previous experience
  • A recognized university technical degree or equivalent (desirable)
  • Extensive experience using mechanical testing meters and equipment to analyze and report on test results, including portable data loggers, air flow meters, TAB reports, etc.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Data Center experience is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules.
