Day to day: • Support Windows and Apple based Operating Systems • Supplement helpdesk services by providing direct support to users, as needed for business applications • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolution • Create and update technical documentation • Remediate issues identified in monitoring alerts • Perform failure analysis and determine corrective action plans • Support on premise virtualization environment • Provide cloud infrastructure support • Manage and maintain peripheral equipment (printers, copiers, etc.) in our office locations • Collaborate with IT Leadership and others to research, analyze and determine standards for hardware, software, and security solutions • Work with Information Security to monitor and ensure compliance with security policies and practices • Specify, order, stage and coordinate configuration of employee computing equipment • Manage IT support vendor relationships and service levels • Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components
Must haves:
* BS Computer Science or related field or a minimum five years of IT Administrator experience
* Minimum two years IT Administrator experience (plus a related degree)
* Proven experience as a desktop administrator, network administrator or similar role
* Proven experience in setting up, managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems
* Experience administering networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
* Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
* Microsoft and Apple desktop and Network certifications preferred
Nice to haves:
* Experienced with Fortinet firewalls, switches and/ or wireless access points
