The Group provides rapid fabrication, assembly, integration, and test of advanced hardware prototypes for national security applications. Examples include the precision machining of fiber mounts for airborne high energy laser systems, multi-functional structures using additive processes for ground-based radar systems, custom printed circuit boards (PCBs) for space-borne data processing, and highly integrated mechanical packaging for undersea communication terminals. Core mechanical competencies span precision fabrication, additive manufacturing, and 5-axis machining. The group concentrates on high-complexity parts, quick-turn capabilities and activities that require concurrent engineering with program teams. Core PCB capabilities include design for manufacturability (DFM), automated solder paste dispensers, precise pick-n-place machines, and automated optical inspection systems. Assembly, integration, and test capabilities include integration spaces, clean rooms, vibration testing, thermal testing, and space simulation chambers. We are seeking a forward-thinking Digital Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with knowledge in digital manufacturing, supply chain management, and experience integrating PLM, ERP, and MES systems. The candidate will be instrumental in transforming raw data into insightful digital systems, optimizing fabrication workflows, and developing system integrations to ensure efficient and seamless production processes.
Responsibilities: • Develop digital dashboards from raw data, ensuring that data is clean, accurate, and usable for decision-making and process optimization. • Analyze and improve fabrication workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing digital tools to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline production processes. • Develop and implement system integrations to connect various manufacturing systems, enabling seamless data flow and real-time insights across different stages of production. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to continuously improve digital processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with overall production goals and objectives. • Work closely with fabrication engineers, IT, and production staff, to ensure successful implementation of digital systems and provide ongoing support.
Must Have:- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in digital implementation, automation, or technology integration within a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with the implementation and integration of digital tools in manufacturing environments. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-technology environment with an emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have: • Experience with specific manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, FactoryLogix, Aras Innovator, MES systems). • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's with 3+ Years of relevant work experience.
