Background: Vectrona is seeking an Ordnance Operations Analyst to serve as a subject matter expert in ordnance operations, planning, requirements, and readiness. This position will support NAVELSG's mission to provide expeditionary logistics capabilities, acting as the technical authority for ordnance and explosives operations while ensuring full compliance with DoD and Navy regulations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Provide technical operational support and program oversight for ordnance operations,
plans, and readiness, ensuring adherence to Fleet Ordnance Support (FOS) policies.
Conduct comprehensive analytical studies and reviews of Fleet Ordnance Support
programmatic policies, assessing operational readiness and efficiency.
Collect and analyze workload performance metrics, assessing capabilities and limitations
to support evolving Fleet requirements both CONUS and OCONUS.
Support explosives safety, operational risk management, and ordnance handling training
initiatives to enhance readiness and compliance.
Conduct annual on-site technical assistance and evaluations for subordinate commands
to ensure operational alignment with mission goals.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ordnance operations,
ensuring continuous compliance with policies and directives.
Represent NAVELSG at working groups, conferences, and meetings, providing detailed
analyses and readiness metrics for decision-making.
Preferred Education/Degree:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on expertise in ordnance program operations, planning, and execution within the last 10 years.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of Naval and Joint ordnance entities, operations, and related policies.
Proficiency in analytical methods, trend analysis, and requirements determination for ordnance
operations.
