As a contributor to efforts of the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab in the Wargaming Division, you will be asked to provide Scientific and Technical Deliverables by performing Research, Development, Tests, and Evaluation to identify future challenges and opportunities, develop warfighting concepts and comprehensively explore options to inform the combat development process and meet the challenges of future operating environments.
The Data Manager will support computer database administration through architects and designs, oversee the development of or administer computerized databases, install the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, create databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), using import utilities to install databases. This includes the creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other database objects, as well as the management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the different aspects related to the performance tuning of databases. You will be expected to write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database, and maintain a data correction log. These efforts will enhance the ability of the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab Wargaming Division to plan, design, support, integrate, execute, evaluate and report live force experiments.

Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains plans, policies, and processes for data management, governance, security, quality, accessibility, use, and disposal.
Creating and enforcing data policies for effective data management to ensure that data is handled efficiently, securely, and in compliance with organizational standards.
Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.
Implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis. Ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage, and analysis, including data integrity and security.
Assess and establish data-sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing.
Assist users in effectively utilizing data systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth data operations.
Monitor and analyze information and data systems, evaluate performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption.
Required Qualifications:

US Citizenship required
TS/SCI clearance required at start
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in IT or data management
5-12 years of experience in IT (aligned to DoD Cybersecurity Workforce 424- Data Steward)
Requires DoD Cyber certification as an IAT level II (Any of the following: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Additional Skills:
Master's degree in IT
Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
