We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a full-time, permanent position with our client in Eugene, OR. This position requires onsite work, so candidates must be local to the area. The selected IT Project Manager will oversee software development projects, ensuring their successful delivery by collaborating with business partners, internal development teams, IT resources, and vendors. Additionally, this role involves establishing and enhancing a PMO (Project Management Office) to drive project success and organizational maturity.
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, track, identify, and communicate project tasks, status, risks, and issues.
Define contingency and mitigation plans.
Develop, update, and maintain project plans.
Facilitate effort estimation for project tasks.
Manage project scope, timeline, and budget adjustments.
Deliver end-to-end solution designs aligned with business partner goals.
Guide decision-making by presenting options and recommendations to business partners and project teams.
Collaborate with business partners, software developers, interface engineers, infrastructure teams, and third-party partners to meet project objectives.
Design and implement required user training in collaboration with analysts and business partners.
Lead data and infrastructure migration projects during acquisitions.
Develop and refine the acquisitions playbook.
Establish and lead PMO processes to ensure consistent project management practices and tools are utilized.
Qualifications:
Proven project management experience in software development projects.
In-depth understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Demonstrated ability to implement ERP systems and/or web-delivered applications.
Expertise in managing projects involving code development and configurations.
Extensive experience overseeing projects from kick-off to go-live.
Familiarity with data conversion processes.
Knowledge of core business functions such as eCommerce, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Sales, Purchasing, and General Ledger. Experience in dealership operations (e.g., rentals, fleet service, vehicle sales, and parts sales) is a plus.
Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, collaboration, organization, time management, analysis, and critical thinking skills.
Direct experience in standing up and managing a PMO is highly preferred.
