Our client is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to join their Capital Project Management team located in the Longmont, CO office. The position will support the schedule and cost control efforts for projects in the CO/WY/UT region. Experience in oil and gas, or applicable construction capital projects is required. The ideal candidate for this position will be capable of self-performing project controls required to support all phases of the project life cycle, while also providing reporting and analysis to drive decision-making.
Work Schedule: 40 hours a week / The work schedule is 9 hours Monday - Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.

Rate: Hourly with 1.5x OT

Qualifications
Experience: Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience with upstream or midstream capital projects; other industrial construction experience acceptable.
Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software applications; familiarity with Ares Prism and SAP preferred but not required. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
Technical Skills: Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Detail-Oriented: Extreme attention to details and data integrity.
Time Management: Able to manage time effectively to meet project and company deadlines independently.
Knowledge Areas: A fundamental understanding of production, compression, pumping, treating, processing, and produced water disposal facilities and pipeline infrastructure is preferred. Familiarity with industry safety principles is essential.
Analytical Skills: Competency in earned value management and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining cost analysis application databases.
Facilitate new initiatives related to cost control and analysis.
Create project and program cost reports for supported project managers.
Troubleshoot cost issues and review monthly exceptions/errors in project integration processes.
Create and manage budgets while monitoring spending.
Develop and maintain work breakdown and cost breakdown structures in collaboration with the engineering team.
Track and report on construction project costs, EACs, and variances.
Conduct monthly accrual and reforecast meetings, coordinating with management and accounting teams.
Maintain scope change logs and ensure adherence to scope change processes.
Utilize detailed schedules for cost forecasting and baseline schedule development.
Monitor construction progress, update schedules, and highlight anomalies with detailed analysis.
Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external contractors and stakeholders.
Prepare and distribute bi-weekly and monthly reports for construction project expenses.
Participate in contractor selection and provide feedback on performance.

Degree: Bachelor's degree required.
