Our client, a large Electrical Contractor, is seeking a motivated Project Estimator to join our team. To fulfill this Estimator role, a high level of knowledge and/or experience in commercial Electrical estimating and construction projects is required. The Candidate must be able to independently put together timely and accurate project estimates for a variety of project types. Project types include data center, biopharmaceutical, semi-conductor, typical office and/or labs, light industrial, and healthcare and range in value from $50K - $100M. This position will be 100% in-office.
Responsibilities:
Manage, organize, and communicate bid documentation for an assigned bid.
Read, understand, and assign cost to all bid related documents (drawings, specs, instructions to bidders).
Perform detailed take off and unit cost estimates.
Perform pricing breakouts as required by customers.
Request/Obtain/Evaluate Vendor pricing.
Electronically maintain records of all working documents and data to back up estimates.
Qualifications:
Competency with computerized estimating and digital take off software with experience in Conest being a plus
Ability to estimate both design build and plan/spec projects.
Ability to read, interpret and understand mechanical drawings/prints and specifications.
Proficient with MS Office Suite and specifically Excel
Minimum 3-5 years of proven successful experience preparing estimates for commercial projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
