Career Opportunity

Step into a role managing high-impact projects from lease signature to customer fit-out completion. You'll collaborate with a broad range of internal teams, as well as external partners, to ensure seamless project execution. As the primary customer point of contact, you'll handle design proposals, validate construction scopes, and manage budgets, schedules, and documentation, maintaining alignment and excellence at every stage.

This role requires expertise in coordinating large, complex build-to-suit projects, driving cross-functional collaboration, and delivering tailored solutions. By fostering continuous improvement and streamlining processes, you'll play an essential role in delivering exceptional outcomes that set new standards in customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact from lease signature through completion of fit-out, handling all customer requests, organizing site visits during construction, and providing regular project updates in collaboration with internal teams across finance, strategy, engineering, design, sales, and legal.
  • Coordinate and validate design and construction proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs across disciplines (Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Telecom, Security). Secure customer approvals for costs and scope while minimizing gaps through well-defined work scopes.
  • Manage end-to-end contract processes, including obtaining executed customer Purchase Orders (POs), negotiating construction contracts with General Contractors, and ensuring all agreements are finalized before initiating design and construction activities.
  • Oversee project budgets and invoices, facilitating monthly billing reviews with customers, managing design schedules, and ensuring timely design approvals. Support full project coordination with customer vendors (e.g., furniture, audiovisual) and ensure seamless integration with General Contractor plans.
  • Coordinate delivery and installation schedules for customer-provided equipment, ensuring all components are available per project timelines.
  • Provide comprehensive updates during weekly meetings with customers, covering base building and fit-out progress, power updates, permitting, and construction schedules. Work collaboratively with internal construction and design teams to align on milestones and documentation uploads as required by lease agreements.
  • Ensure smooth project delivery by managing Early Access and Completion Checklists with the General Contractor, overseeing the execution of build-to-suit projects, and aligning stakeholder requirements.
  • Partner with the Construction Management team to standardize delivery strategies across multiple sites, implement continuous improvement programs, and drive a lean project delivery approach.
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities by gathering user requirements and collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Your Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Engineering/Construction) is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data center design and construction, with 3-5 years of experience managing infrastructure projects and leading cross-functional teams, is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience with customer improvements/fit outs, with 3-5 years of experience with Electrical & Mechanical systems supporting critical environments, is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and collaborate with multiple groups and disciplines, ensuring project alignment and execution.
  • Strong proficiency in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts for customer requirements, along with contract negotiations and invoicing.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective customer interaction and team coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools, such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Procore, and Primavera, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies, with a focus on process optimization.
  • EHS certifications, such as OSHA and First Aid, are preferred.
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED AP, or a relevant PE (Professional Engineer) license, are desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, with flexibility based on business needs.
