Summary:

Advanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) to lead and oversee our program management functions in the C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) domain. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of C5ISR systems, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex, high-impact programs. This role is critical in ensuring the alignment of program strategies with organizational goals, optimizing program performance, and driving successful outcomes in a rapidly evolving technological environment.

The Director of the Program Management Office (PMO) will have key interfaces with the site leadership, Engineering, Business Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Government Agencies, Customers (CONUS and OCONUS), and Suppliers. This is a hands-on position that may also be required to execute major programs while directing the PMO and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, execute, and instill programmatic controls for all programs.

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Key/Core Qualifications:

Leadership and Strategy:
  • Lead and mentor a team of program managers and project managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement PMO strategies, methodologies, and best practices aligned with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on program management issues, risks, and opportunities.

Program Oversight:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of C5ISR programs, ensuring they meet performance, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
  • Establish and maintain program management frameworks and tools to monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual, regulatory, and compliance requirements specific to the C5ISR domain.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government clients, partners, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and senior management to provide status updates, resolve issues, and address any concerns.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance program efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
  • Promote the use of data-driven decision-making and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Resource Management:
  • Oversee the allocation of resources across programs, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing any resource constraints or conflicts.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.

Risk Management:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with C5ISR programs.
  • Implement risk management plans and ensure proactive resolution of issues impacting program success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the C5ISR domain or a closely related field.

  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of C5ISR systems, technologies, and industry trends.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

  • Work is typically performed in an office setting
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Travel overseas may be required
