What You'll Do:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing competitive bids and ensuring project success. You will:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to develop detailed time, cost, and labor estimates.
Assess project cost-effectiveness and track actual costs relative to bids as projects progress.
Pursue work through alternative delivery methods (ADM), Construction Management at Risk (CMAR), Design-Build (DB), and Job Order Contracts (JOC).
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Review bid documents, lead bid closures, and host internal project reviews.
Assist project managers in developing budgets and addressing change orders.
Visit job sites regularly to identify and implement improvements on projects.
Develop and refine cost models, vendor lists, and estimating labor/equipment rates.
Conduct studies to reduce costs and improve project efficiency.
Participate in weekly management and performance evaluation meetings.
What You Bring:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (preferred).
Experience: At least 10 years in construction estimating or a related field.
Expertise: Advanced knowledge of construction industry operations, estimating methodologies, and the client market.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
Adaptability: Ability to prioritize and adjust to shifting project needs, while maintaining a meticulous approach to work.
Commitment to Safety: Adherence to all safety policies and procedures, while promoting a culture of safety for employees and subcontractors.
