In search of a career oriented candidate looking to join a fast growing company and gain vast experience and knowledge in the logistics industry. Selected candidate will work closely with management personnel to assist in the day-to-day operations of the company.
Position duties include:
Ø The candidate will be the main point of contact for customer related projects and be responsible to provide best logistics service solutions.
Ø Selected candidate will work closely with the sales and management teams to assist in maintaining customer relationships.
Ø Daily responsibilities will include, but not limited to, providing cost saving initiatives by working closely with carriers and vendors; providing operational excellence by supervising the transportation process from order placement to delivery; and ensuring account profitability by accurately projecting costs and ensuring customer payment.
Ø The candidate will also be capturing and completing customer quote requests, placing carrier quote requests, receive and close customer orders, and handle all customer inquiries and service issues.
Ø The candidate will assist management with corporate initiatives and staff development.
Position requirements:
Ø This position requires a four year degree.
Ø 2-5 years experience in logistics required.
Ø Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ø The candidate must have strong PC skills including MS Office -- Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Ø This position requires a flexible work schedule with light travel.
