The Operations Planner oversees product development and execution from design to bulk production. This role involves resolving complex issues, influencing cross-functional teams, and ensuring cost and speed efficiency for assigned products.
Order Management:
Ensure accuracy of orders and oversee COMs processes.
Escalate issues when necessary.
Raw Material Management:
Analyze and address liabilities; recommend solutions to stakeholders.
Manage raw material commitments, risk assessment, and monthly reconciliations.
Handle disputes and support financial reporting.
Capacity Planning:
Oversee projections and manage vendor allocations.
Communicate capacity concerns and collaborate on order placement strategies.
Production Planning:
Negotiate order timelines, ensuring adherence to lead times and calendar milestones.
Focus on cost opportunities, margin complexities, and speed strategies.
Facilitate cross-functional team (CFT) meetings to resolve production issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across logistics, deployment, planning, merchandising, design, vendors, and raw material planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
3-6 years in retail production or sourcing, with expertise in multiple categories.
Knowledge of order management, garment production, and product costing.
Strong Excel skills, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
