Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Packaging Manager must champion safety, integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement in all operations.
- Lead efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.
- Oversee packaging operations, optimize performance, and develop effective schedules.
- Train and motivate your team, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- The Packaging Manager must use Key Performance Indicators to drive performance and apply Root Cause Analysis for problem-solving.
- Manage budget expenses and collaborate with the Purchasing Department and Maintenance Manager.
- Conduct performance reviews, address grievances, and support capital planning with the Director of Supply Chain.
- Implement customer-focused strategies and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Skills & Experience:
- The Packaging Manager must hold a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Technology, or Business preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years in food packaging operations in a leadership profile.
- Experience in safety, productivity, and quality improvements.
- The Packaging Manager must be proficient in Lean Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer focus.
- Requires flexibility, often exceeding 40 hours per week, including weekends.
- The Packaging Manager must be willing to travel (10% or less).
