Job Description
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
Operate Automated Tattoo Device: Independently manage the operation of an advanced automated tattooing device in a prestigious NYC tattoo studio.
Client Interaction: Greet clients, explain the tattooing process, and provide aftercare instructions.
Artwork Conversion: Assist tattoo artists in converting artwork into compatible files for the automated tattoo device using specialized software.
Tattooing Process: Prepare clients' skin, apply stencils, position clients, and operate the tattooing device to complete the tattoo procedure with high precision.
Equipment Maintenance: Use tools like a handheld microscope to review tattoo quality and maintain cleanliness of equipment according to strict protocols.
Administrative Support: Assist with client scheduling, take photos of completed tattoos, and collect data for ongoing evaluation.
Training: Complete 2-3 months of intensive training in Austin, TX, to learn the system and operation of the automated tattoo device.
Collaboration: Work closely with tattoo artists and other studio staff to ensure smooth operational workflow and maintain high standards of client care.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
Start Date: January 2025
Training Availability: Must be available for 2-3 months of training in Austin, TX, starting in January 2025.
Experience: Previous client-facing experience in the medical, aesthetics, or body art fields required.
Tech-Savvy: Strong proficiency with computer software and medical-grade devices.
Personality Fit: Detail-oriented, independent, professional, and capable of working with complex machinery.
Licensing: Must obtain a tattoo license for the state of New York (3-hour online course) and pass the Texas Department of Health training (4-hour online course). Both courses are provided and paid for.
Commitment: Must be available for at least 12 months (January - December 2025), with potential for long-term extension.
Nice to Have:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or vocational training (e.g., radiology, ultrasound, esthetician, paramedical).
Tattoo or Body Art Experience: Previous experience in tattooing, body art, or related fields is a plus.
Medical Background: Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or other related medical fields is preferred.
