The heart of Prellis Bio strategy is the combination of novel, cutting edge methods in machine learning, biology at scale and next gen antibody discovery that address key bottlenecks in the drug development pipeline. To accomplish that, we are putting together an incredible team of discovery biologists, computational scientists, and protein scientists who want to make a difference to this important problem. In this leadership role, you will help build the oncology therapeutic area (TA), hire and manage staff.
You will report to the CSO and work a hybrid schedule at our headquarters in Berkeley, CA.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Contribute to Prellis Bio strategy in oncology addressable by large molecule or complex modalities
Work cross-functionally as aproject team leadto design, experiments, high-throughput experimental assays and machine learning models to help deconvolute these biologies
Support identification and validation of high-value, disease-modifying therapeutic targets through literature-based evaluations
Lead efforts and partner with our statistical genetics and machine learning teams to follow up on these targets with the goal of producing viable therapeutic interventions
Move with the project as it moves into the clinic and provide clinical support and work closely with our clinical groups and chief medical officer.
Lead external collaborations with partners and with other organizations and individuals in efforts related to the oncology area.
You will join a growing and well-positioned biotech startup that is very much in formation.
