Tabernacle School is seeking a full or part time PE teacher for grades 1st - 8th. Throughout the school years at Tabernacle School, our students are challenged academically and grow in confidence as they explore their interests. We consider it an honor to partner with staff and parents in providing support and guidance for children as they grow academically, spiritually, and athletically. Job Description
Title: PE Teacher
Division: Elementary and Middle School
Reports to: Principal, Vice Principal and/or Athletic Director
Status: Full-time or Part-time, Hourly Pay, August to May (During the Academic Year) for part time and year round for full time.
Salary: Hourly scale starting at $18.50. Experience in classroom teaching as well as education will increase starting rate.

Primary Responsibilities
Instruction
Teachers are expected to create activities aligned with curricular standards; these plans should be differentiated and designed to engage and challenge students.
Incorporate Tabernacle's School Wide Expected Results and LIVE/GIFT program into curricular plans.
Engage actively in mandatory staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance your understanding of effective classroom instruction practices and expectations.
Classroom Management and Communication
Establish and maintain a well-organized and structured environment conducive to learning.
Manage behavior to ensure a respectful and inclusive atmosphere among students, including communicating effectively with students, parents, and school staff to inform them about students' progress and activities.
Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain discipline and safety.
As a Mandated Reporter, supervise students to ensure their safety.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to adhere to the following:
Will frequently walk across campus, as well as use stairs to the school's second story.
Participate in campus supervision duty each week - Monday through Friday. The frequency may vary based on the supervision assignment.
Lift, open sheds and equipment, bend, or stand as necessary, and sit for long periods.
