Overview
The School of Architecture seeks a dynamic and organized individual to serve as a Project and Research Coordinator. This role is instrumental in supporting the school’s academic and co-curricular initiatives, contributing to publications, exhibitions, and research efforts. The role involves activities that promote the school’s mission and amplify its intellectual and cultural impact.. Responsibilities
Oversee publications with emphasis of the publication of our series Women in Design and Architecture as well as the series Discourse, a publication that presents timely themes on and around architecture.
Research archival material related to WDA and Discourse.
Write, edit and proof narratives and historical accounts for publications with WDA and Discourse.
Fact check date, times, locations, etc. for publication.
Layout materials ensuring they are press ready.
Conduct independent research for exhibitions at the School of Architecture.
Manage special projects that lead to themed exhibitions at the School of Architecture.
Provide research assistance to the Dean to provide a solid foundation for co-curricular initiatives.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication abilities
Proficiency in design research methodologies and tools
Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork
Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
Flexible and must be adaptive to changing needs and priorities
Preferred
Experience in a higher education setting
Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
