AmplifyBio brings decades of experience to accommodate a wide variety of GLP and non-GLP studies in all in vivo models and dose routes. Among the investments that AmplifyBio has made to empower preclinical assessments of advanced therapies is building a new state-of-the-art analytical laboratory to include molecular and immunological assays that assess critical safety and efficacy indicators for cell and gene therapies during preclinical studies

AmplifyBio is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician, to join our growing team!!!

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible for completing all corrective / preventive maintenance, general optimization and overall improvements to business and regulatory equipment associated with our AmplifyBio facilities in West Jefferson and New Albany, OH.

This position is a hands-on position and takes daily direction from management and internal stakeholders to ensure all critical equipment is operating at peak efficiency while documenting and completing any repairs per prescribed procedures.

What Youll Do Here:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on critical equipment such as but not limited to: Fans, Pumps, Air Filtration, Refrigerators / Freezers, Incubators, Biological Safety Cabinets, Process Specific Equipment, and general facilities related equipment / tasks.
  • Complete and document equipment related Corrective Work Requests for both internal and external customers.
  • Act as front facing main point of contact for general facility related issues such as hot/cold complaints, maintenance requests, and overall general business needs.
  • Ordering and maintaining of spare parts inventory and repair parts associated with critical equipment related work requests.
  • Daily walking tours and verification of critical equipment, making necessary adjustments and/or observation of equipment within the facility to improve / maintain reliability.
  • Utilize a central command center for both OH sites to identify trends and potential abnormal conditions from multiple electronic building automation, environmental monitoring and/or process monitoring systems.
  • Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document all work history associated with critical equipment and/or assets.
  • Ensure all critical equipment related preventive maintenance plans are relevant and address all potential areas for failure and/or optimization.
  • Act as department liaison for equipment related new and/or renovation CAPEX projects to maintain standards and reduce duplication of efforts and costs.
  • Act as front facing main point of contact for responding to internal, client, and regulatory audit questions regarding facility operations, which can include providing maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with other members of the F&E (Facilities & Engineering) team to ensure completion of daily work activities and overall support of business needs.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
  • This position functions with minimal supervision to perform the job day-to-day. There are times when consensus is obtained in troubleshooting equipment and system problems to reduce downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • This position will routinely make on the spot decisions regarding equipment and system functions that require adjustment. There is high degree of problem-solving ability required as problems surround nearly all functions of this position.

We Would Love to Hear from You If:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Life Sciences or similar regulated equipment related environment.
  • Must be available to work any shift and be on call (cell phone required).
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle for transportation between West Jefferson and New Albany, OH as required.
  • Must have ability to work with hand / power tools safely.
  • Good interaction with external suppliers/consultants and/or vendors on equipment related needs and support.
  • Must be well organized and committed to a safe and clean working environment.
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and manage time well.
  • This position may require some heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs., heavier weights with assistance).
  • Ability to work an 8 to 10-hour shift while standing with periodic walking.
  • Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner while donning appropriate personal protective equipment.
