This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.
Purpose of Position
The purpose of the Archivist is to acquire, appraise, arrange, describe and digitize UND archival materials, to provide reference and research service, and to supervise the activities of student employees, interns, and volunteers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Acquire, appraise, arrange, describe and digitize UND archival materials
Preservation and management of UND digital and electronic records
Provide reference and research service.
Supervise student employees, interns and volunteers.
Participate in Departmental collection development, outreach, and teaching.
Participate in professional activities.
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in library/information science from a program accredited by the American Library Association or other appropriate graduate degree
Graduate level coursework in archives or completion of a post master's degree certificate in archives
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
One-year experience working in an archive
Familiarity with UND and North Dakota history
Experience or coursework in media digitization and metadata
Experience in building relationships with donors
