The Public Relations Manager provides expertise and thought leadership in storytelling to promote FTI. This role works with internal clients and an external PR agency to develop strategic public relations plans to further the mission and values of FTI. Under the supervision of the director of communications strategy, the PR manager will develop and lead FTI's PR strategy, create and lead media training for FTI's leaders, maintain a crisis communication planning strategy, drive focused media opportunities that align with FTI's business objectives, and develop and lead FTI's award strategy.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



Education: Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations.


Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience.


OR


Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent


Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related experience.


Travel: 5-10%


Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develops PR strategy and materials for key announcements, external events, and initiatives, in collaboration with FTI's Content team in order to drive focused media opportunities that align with business objectives.

  • Proactively identifies ways to advance FTI's work through thoughtful PR plans, utilizing excellent communication and organization.

  • Analyzes and communicates the success of PR plans.

  • Develops, implements, and elevates our company awards and recognition program strategy and leads execution and promotion of awards won.

  • Develops and leads a media training plan for FTI's leaders.

  • Maintains FTI's crisis communication planning strategy.

  • Partners with our PR agency as needed.

  • Manages the PR budget.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
