We are seeking an experienced Director of Infrastructure and Security to lead and oversee all aspects of our organization's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system administration, help desk operations, building security, and business continuity planning. This role will also be responsible for achieving and maintaining compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our technology and physical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure and System Administration
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Oversee system administration, including server, network, and cloud environments.
- Ensure systems and applications are up-to-date, secure, and operating efficiently.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Plan, architect, implement and enforce best practices and policies to consistently secure and backup systems, networks, and data for SCI. Monitor all systems 24/7.

- Lead the organization's efforts to achieve and maintain CMMC certification and compliance with other relevant governmental and compliance bodies.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
- Stay current with emerging security threats and implement proactive countermeasures.
Help Desk Operations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve help desk performance and end-user satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on help desk metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
Building Security and Business Continuity
- Develop and oversee building security protocols, including access controls and surveillance systems.
- Create, maintain, and test the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) to ensure operational resilience.
- Lead incident response and recovery efforts for both physical and cyber disruptions.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Develop and manage budgets for IT infrastructure and related projects.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of IT, security, and support professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Develop and conduct company security training for the overall company.
- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and building security.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience with CMMC compliance and certification processes.
Technical Skills
• Expertise in managing on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures & both Linux & Windows environments.
• Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and help desk operations.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and tools.
• Proficiency in system administration and network architecture.
• Experience in designing and implementing physical security systems.
Leadership and Strategic Skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a strategic focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ITIL.
• Experience in government or regulated industries or affinity to learn.
• Proven track record in managing IT help desk and system administration teams.
