Overview
The Senior Vice President, Data Science is responsible for designing, developing, & delivering advanced ML/AI-based data products and analytic solutions that are integrated into the Publicis CoreAI workflows and end-product offerings. We are looking for a seasoned data science team leader who has guided technical teams in developing and delivering ML/AI-based solutions that drive business revenue and product sales. The ideal candidate blends deep technical-domain expertise with extensive hands-on modeling and data engineering experience in leveraging structured & unstructured data, cutting-edge modeling techniques, and technology platforms to develop and deploy applications that will be embedded in our CoreAI workflows to make previously complex tasks more efficient or scalable.
Responsibilities
Data Science Solutions - Development & Innovation:
Lead a broad, multi-talented team of data scientists tasked with developing the essential ML/AI-based data products and analytic solutions for the Publicis CoreAI workflows and marketplace offerings. The team you lead will comprise both data scientists reporting directly into you as well as managing the work of data scientists & data engineers from partner Publicis teams in-house, based on the roadmap of agreed-upon AI/ML products we continuously develop and roll out.
Partner with peers in related technical areas (such as technology and product engineering), bring your technical domain expertise to audit / assess our current data science capabilities and offerings in support of media & marketing planning and operations functions. Propose, design, and own the development and delivery of a Roadmap for enhanced ML/AI-based utilities that will advance our marketplace offering accordingly.
Operate in a constant 'growth hacking' mode that seeks to enhance our current suite of AI-based analytic data products. Produce Proof-of-Concepts to evaluate new tools.
Stay ahead of the curve by continuously exploring, evaluating, and adopting cutting-edge technologies to enhance development efficiency. Shape the wider application landscape leveraging AI.
Technical Expertise:
Work effectively with partner product stakeholders to communicate and translate product and output requirements into AI/ML solution architecture, tools, tasks & code that will improve the Publicis CoreAI offering.
Hands-on expertise & in-depth knowledge of multiple programming languages, associated frameworks, and the tool ecosystem to create elegant ML/AI/GenAI applications to solve business-oriented problems. Able to adopt new languages and new paradigms applying them to the problem domain where they deliver significant benefit.
Develop tools that can enable teams to produce high-quality code leading to rapid delivery. Ruthlessly pursuing continuous integration and delivery.
Ability to model in multiple domains, articulating contexts & boundaries and articulate the rationale behind them.
A pply understanding of elastic scale and build highly available analytic systems.
Team Leadership & Partnership:
Lead technical workshops and discussions with multiple internal stakeholders to define scope, objectives, outcomes, and design criteria for the most effective set of AI/ML solutions, as planned.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including product strategists, data & technology engineers, and business analysts-as you develop and deliver innovative AI/ML features and services that will lead into successful workflow implementations.
Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, timelines, and budgets, managing client expectations effectively (as needed).
Mentor and develop those around you, starting with your direct team reports.
Domain Thought-Leadership & Industry Innovation:
Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices within the automotive industry and data science fields.
Support internal knowledge sharing and training programs to elevate the team's expertise in automotive analytics.
Be a recognized contributor/vocal in forums in your technical domain. Contribute to the company's growth by developing case studies, white papers, and industry presentations highlighting success stories and innovative analytic approaches.
Raise the bar for the organization in your technical area.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in data science and advanced analytics.
Has led development of AI/ML solutions in a fast-moving, innovation-focused organization in categories such as e-commerce/retail, entertainment/media/travel, advertising platforms/services.
Demonstrable history of hands-on coding, with a portfolio that showcases your prowess.
Mastery of multiple programming languages and development tools. Experience of building products used by other developers.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage automotive clients and stakeholders.
Experience with agile and other progressive development methodologies.

Education:
Advanced degrees (M.Sc./PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field are preferred.
Certifications in analytics or data science (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional).

Compensation Range: $176,700 - $288,765 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
