ABOUT THE JOB: The Veterinary Technicians will assist in the exam rooms, dispense medications, set up for surgeries, assist with surgery and radiology, client education, maintain hospital equipment and machines, care for (feed, medicate, clean cages) hospital patients, enter medical information into computer.  The job requirements are:

JOB DUTIES
1.      Assist in and clean the exam rooms.  Keep the exam rooms fully stocked at all times.
 2.  Dispense medications (enter on invoice and card).
 3. Set up for gas anesthesia and surgery.
 4. Prepare patient for surgery.
5.  Monitor patients under anesthesia
Post surgery cleans up.
6.  Keeping the surgical cabinet stocked.
 7.  Maintenance of machines, equipment and instruments.
 8.  Phone reminders.  Be sure and mark this on the card.
 9.  Filing of all radiographs and scan into vet pacs.
10. Filling out proper request form, packing & send samples to lab.
11. Recording items on the inventory sheets.
12. Care for hospital patients.
13. Client education.
14. Assist with surgery and perform radiology studies.
15.         Explain after care for hospital & surgery patients to owners. 
16.    Record surgery, radiology, lab & drugs on proper sheets, charts, logs, & files.
17.        Perform laboratory test per doctor's request.
