The HR Business Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with partners (employees) and leadership. This role integrates HR expertise with leadership strategies, emphasizing employee relations, employment law compliance, workforce optimization, and serving as the conduit between business units and HR centers of excellence.
This position is located onsite at our Home Office Corporate headquarters in Green Bay, WI.

What you’ll do
Works closely with leaders and partners to enhance the partner experience, build morale, increase performance and retention.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Global HR team to develop retention solutions, programs and policies.
Partners with HR technical functions (e.g. HR Systems & Analytics, Compensation, Benefits, Retirement, DEI, Talent Acquisition, Partner Development, Org Design & Performance Management, Payroll) to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment.
Consults with business unit leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Serves as a coach for positions at all levels in the organization.
Provides performance management guidance to leaders and partners (e.g., coaching, career development, policy administration, performance management, offboarding).
Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations into harassment, discrimination, and other workplace concerns, providing timely resolution and preventive measures.
Maintains in-depth subject matter expertise of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of partners, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Liaison with attorneys and employment law agencies.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Minimum 10 years of HR leadership experience in a large organization.
Working knowledge of human resource generalist disciplines, including employee and union relations, performance management, policy development and administration, application of federal and state employment laws.
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, or equivalent preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Expert knowledge of US employment law and the ability to navigate global employment regulations. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Proven track record in employee relations, investigations and compliance.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines while multi-tasking.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and recommend solutions.
Expert in mediation and conflict resolution.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, & UKG.
Proficiency in HR systems, policies and best practices.
