Federal Reserve Bank of ChicagoThe Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago is seeking a talented and motivated videographer to join the External Affairs team at our mission-driven, public-service organization. You will be responsible for shooting, producing, and editing high-quality video content that tells the stories of the Chicago Fed and the regional economy. You will have a thirst for learning and the ability to effectively communicate complex economic and financial information to a broad, non-technical audience. You will collaborate with subject-matter experts and content strategists, as well as colleagues across the bank and external partners, to conceptualize and deliver engaging videos for various platforms, including the Bank's website, social media channels, internal communications, and public outreach initiatives. Duties will include all stages of video production, from initial concept and planning to filming, editing, and final delivery. This includes proficiency in lighting and sound recording techniques. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with excellent technical skills in video production and strong attention to detail. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative, mission-driven and resourceful colleague with a passion for making complex information accessible to a wide audience. This job has no direct reports.
Your Responsibilities:
Plan and execute video productions from concept to completion, including storyboarding, scripting, location scouting, filming, and editing.
Collaborate with internal teams and subject-matter experts to develop compelling video content that fulfills the Bank's communication objectives, including explaining and amplifying its work.
Ensure video projects are completed on time and adhere to the Federal Reserve's branding and accessibility standards.
Operate and maintain professional video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and editing software.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in video production and post-production.
Manage and archive video assets and maintain an organized library of footage.
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent in film production, graphic design, communications, or a related field
5+ years of proven experience as a videographer in a professional setting
Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro) and motion graphics
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Demonstrated expertise in lighting techniques
Proficiency in audio recording and editing, including microphone selection, placement, and sound mixing techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to juggle multiple, simultaneous projects.
Openness to feedback, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for video content
What We Offer:
The expected starting salary range for this position is between $106,500 and $126,000 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer will be determined based on the applicant’s relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

Additional Requirements:
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
