Pay: $33.44/hour + $4.50/hour (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Technician to join our team in support of our Munitions Division at the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to perform technical supply work, including inventory management, cataloging, and property utilization, specifically in relation to ammunition and explosives (A&E) and other munitions materials. The position primarily handles stable or standardized segments of supply management operations, requiring the application of established guidelines and an understanding of logistical needs. This position may also support contract-related activities in areas like safety, security, and environmental compliance and performs a variety of supply-related duties under the general supervision of the Supply Technician Lead.


Primary duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform supply management tasks such as inventory control, stock rotation, and cataloging of munitions and related materials.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring ammunition, explosives, and other items across various supply systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, utilization, and distribution of materials in compliance with established regulations.
  • Assist in the receipt, storage, and issue of materials in the warehouse, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move and store supplies efficiently and safely.
  • Support the packing, shipping, and turn-in of munitions and related materials as needed.
  • Utilize various information systems (MHP, MTMS, TAMIS, SAAS, CORPS, FACTS, VFS, etc.) to track inventory, enter transactional data, and maintain supply records.
  • Ensure that all data is entered accurately and in compliance with procedures, supporting quality control and regulatory adherence.
  • Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support environmental and security requirements as they relate to munitions handling and storage.
  • Assist in ensuring physical security for munitions and other supply assets.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to supply activities.
  • Participate in surge operations across the Munitions Division area of responsibility, particularly in handling ammunition and explosives (A&E).
  • Support any additional supply-related tasks or contract requirements as assigned by the Supply Technician Lead.

Work Conditions:

  • Location: Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), Hawaii.
  • Overtime may be required as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (50+ lbs.), perform tasks such as stooping, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, and carrying.
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to extreme weather conditions such as heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work in environments involving hazardous materials and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of applicable experience in Army A&E (Ammunition and Explosives) or similar logistics roles.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform various physical tasks (stooping, bending, climbing, etc.).
  • Basic proficiency (Level 1) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and non-tactical vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to obtain AMMO-31, AMMO-45, AMMO-63, AMMO-64, AMMO-67, AMMO-68, AMMO-75, AMMO-76, AMMO-108, and AMMO-112 certifications.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with using hand tools, automated identification technology (AIT), powered equipment, and fax/copier machines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage inventory, and coordinate supply operations efficiently.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, and recommend solutions based on established guidelines.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and security protocols, particularly related to ammunition handling and storage.
  • Effective communication skills to interface with military personnel and support operational needs.
  • Ability to handle changing workloads, surge operations, and varying physical work environments.
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Level 1 proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
  • Current Hawaii Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Secret clearance.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
