Pay: $30.47/hour + $4.50/hour (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join our team in support of our Supply, Storage, and Material Operations (SSMO) section at the Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to play a crucial role in supporting warehousing operations, including inventory management, receiving and shipping materials, and maintaining strict adherence to DOD and US Army regulations. The ideal candidate will assist with various warehousing tasks, from stock control to the preparation of materials for shipment, while ensuring that all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.


Primary duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Verify materials and equipment upon receipt, ensuring accuracy by comparing against receiving documents and reporting discrepancies, damage, or deterioration.
  • Store, stack, and palletize materials according to DOD and US Army storage regulations to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
  • Assist in conducting 100% inventories of stored materials, removing materials from storage, and issuing items to customers as needed.
  • Prepare shipments in accordance with prescribed guidelines, including arranging materials for delivery and ensuring compliance with security and documentation protocols.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Process and finalize daily warehousing transactions using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Army logistics software (e.g., GCSS-ARMY).
  • Assist in generating monthly inventory reports, documenting all activities, and ensuring that all information is accurately reflected in official records.
  • Support shipping and receiving tasks for containers, collaborating with vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Ensure strict adherence to security protocols and proper documentation control for all materials handled.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain compliance with physical security plans to safeguard all materials in storage.
  • May be tasked with supporting environmental, safety, and security requirements, as well as other contract-related duties.

Work Conditions:

  • Location: Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA), Hawaii.
  • The role requires working in an outdoor warehouse environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, dust, cold, and occasional rain).
  • Overtime may be required as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs. and perform physical tasks, such as stooping, bending, squatting, reaching, and carrying materials.
  • Ability to work in environments involving hazardous materials and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of warehouse experience in stock control, receiving/issue, shipping, and inventory (five (5) years of experience preferred).
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and other warehouse tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to process documentation and reports.
  • Familiarity with Army logistics software and Food Service Sustainment Systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs. and perform physical tasks like stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching materials.
  • Ability to work in varying conditions, including handling hazardous materials with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Familiarity with Army supply systems and logistics regulations.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
  • Current Hawaii Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Secret clearance.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
