We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Project Manager to support an IT Application Development team. This role focuses on delivering software solutions that enhance value for business stakeholders and end users.
As a Scrum Master/Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of projects for a team of developers, testers, and analysts. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the transformation and modernization of financial services software systems, ensuring successful delivery in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to provide exceptional service and build trusted partnerships across IT and business units.
Take ownership of projects, tasks, and issues, driving them to completion while adhering to established guidelines and project management standards.
Manage multiple Scrum teams working on both project deliverables and operational improvements.
Facilitate agile practices and integrate them into team workflows, promoting continuous improvement.
Lead work breakdown, release planning, sprint planning, and team collaboration to support project goals and mission.
Organize and facilitate agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical designs, promoting thoughtful discussions and solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and maintain project documentation, such as JIRA tasks, user stories, architecture diagrams, and project wiki entries.
Monitor and communicate risks, dependencies, progress, and agile flow metrics to stakeholders.
Support the team in creating and maintaining JIRA boards, preparing presentations for stakeholders, and driving project alignment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager, leading technical projects.
Ability to interpret business process diagrams and systems interaction diagrams.
Strong skills in translating business needs into technical designs and driving collaboration during requirements turnover.
Experience organizing team artifacts and managing agile ceremonies.
Excellent communication skills for effectively reporting risks, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders.
Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) are a plus.
Familiarity with financial services systems is a plus.
Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
