Under broad guidance, the Workforce Development Specialist provides a comprehensive range of services to current and prospective employees. These services include skills development, career planning, and succession planning for current employees, as well as work-based learning programs, community engagement, and education and outreach initiatives focused on prospective employees. This role involves forecasting, planning, and managing programs and initiatives that align with organizational workforce needs, ensure equitable processes, and recommend resolutions based on data and industry trends. To meet these goals, the Workforce Development Specialist maintains a case management model for tracking skills and career development, promotes existing training programs, and explores new development opportunities. Additionally, this role identifies and addresses gaps in available services to enhance employee support and collaborates with staff, management, and external contacts to offer tailored training and development solutions. |

Job Requirements |

Education
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology, organizational development, education, or related field
Experience
Required
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in a related field of work
• Three years of experience with facilitating training, workshops, presentations, and meetings for employee and public groups
• Experience in career coaching and counseling, program management, and enhanced development and learning strategies
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence
• Advanced training or certification in Human Resources management, workforce development, career coaching or counseling, organizational development, or related field
