A leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Project Manager for their Downtown Los Angeles office. This established firm specializes in transformative design across multiple sectors, with offices strategically located throughout the United States. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.
Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing federal design contracts, specializing in Department of Defense projects including Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, and National Guard facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Federal Project Management
Lead projects ranging from Minor Capital/SRM to large complex initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal standards including UFC, UFGS (SpecsIntact), and DOD Installation Design Standards
Oversee budgets, financial requirements, and contractual obligations
Manage pre-design services including DoD planning, programming, and feasibility studies
Technical Leadership
Guide project delivery teams and coordinate multidisciplinary work
Ensure construction documentation meets contractual scope, codes, and standards
Lead government agency reviews for code compliance
Monitor technical quality of deliverables per federal and company standards
Project Coordination
Facilitate internal meetings with staff and consultants
Present proposals and findings to clients
Coordinate facility condition assessments, site selection, and cost analyses
Direct professional and technical staff activities
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of progressive federal project experience
5+ years of project management experience in construction/renovation
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain Security clearance
Technical Proficiency
Expertise in Bluebeam, SpecsIntact, and MS Suite
Knowledge of current construction methods and delivery processes
Experience with federal design and construction practices
Demonstrated ability to lead user groups through design processes
