Overview

We are seeking an Administrative Intern with previous office experience and ideally experience in the health care industry. We are seeking a professional, organized and compassionate individual who is looking for a long-term position with a great company.

Position: Part-Time UNPAID Internship, Course Credit Available

Position available: Immediately

Valid Driver License Required

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Great customer service skills (Compassionate Attitude)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience converting phone leads valued
  • Independent problem solving and initiative

• Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers (Experience with multi-line phone system preferred)
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
• Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
• Provide administrative and calendaring support to staff members as needed

Proficient Knowledge:
• Excellent phone etiquette and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel a must)
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • General office equipment and computer proficiency

Self-Management Skills:
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain positive and compassionate attitude and handle difficult conversations with clients & guests
  • Ability to communicate clearly & efficiently with diverse clients
  • Cooperative attitude that is compatible with others
  • Pleasant telephone voice

This is a part-time internship with 20 hours a week regular office hours. If you are a compassionate and motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service and helping the community, we would love to hear from you.
