The Women's Ministry Director is a staff member who will work with the elders to promote biblical knowledge, spiritual health, and edifying relationships among the women of Grace Church.
Qualifications
She will hold to the doctrinal standards of Grace Church and the form of organization laid out in its constitution. She will be a mature believer who is a student of the Bible and actively cultivating a personal life characterized by spiritual health. She will have a passion to see the women of Grace Church know the work of God better, and love the Lord Jesus more, and walk with him more faithfully. Preferably she will have experience in teaching the bible and leading women's ministry and hold a bachelor's degree.
Appointment and accountability
She will be recommended to the congregation by the elders and called by the church in a congregational vote. She will join Grace Church as a member if she is not already. She will be accountable to the elders and work under the direction of the senior pastor. She will be subject to annual performance assessments by the session. She will carry out her work in cooperation with the church staff, officers, and committees.
Hours
She will dedicate 20 hours a week to this position. This will include attendance at staff meetings, maintaining regular office hours, and attending officer and committee meetings as needed, some of which will take place in the evenings outside of normal business hours.
Essential duties
Women's Care Team facilitation
She will provide guidance for the Women's Care Team
She will serve as a liaison between the Women's Care Team and the rest of the church leadership
She will serve as a resource for the Women's Care Team
She will assist in the promotion of the care team's ministry in the life of the church
Women's discipleship facilitation
She will model biblical discipleship in her own relationships with women in the church
She will facilitate one-to-one discipleship among the women of the church
She will train women in the process of discipleship and act as a resource
She will maintain (along with the staff pastors) a list of approved resources for use in discipleship
Resource for women in the church
She will be available for women in the church seeking help
She will assist women in the church in availing themselves of the ministries of the church
She will be available as an advocate for women in their interaction with church leadership.
She will be available as a source of biblical counsel for women in the church and will help facilitate counseling for members from sources both inside and outside the church
Resource for church officers
She will be available to offer guidance and perspective for the elders in shepherding women in the congregation
She will be available to offer guidance and perspective for the deacons in serving women in the congregation
She will assist the pastors in offering biblical counsel for women in the church
