Persistent Systems is looking for a Project Specialist to join our growing team in Pinehurst, North Carolina! The Project Specialist will join our Programs team and will be responsible for working with Program Managers and Project Managers in managing all aspects of existing projects, development projects, pursuing new opportunities, and developing existing relationships with cross-functional team members.
Position Responsibilities
Maintain supporting project management data, including project plans, project schedules, project budgets, action plans, labor hours, etc. in support of Project Managers.
Responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support deliverable development, purchasing activities, invoicing, and project reporting.
Develop reports on work performed and / or equipment delivered in multiple formats as requested by the Program and Project Manager.
Work with Account Managers to respond to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP,) and other relevant requests.
Work with customers to complete the required Government forms, as required.
Problem solver / self-starter who is willing to develop processes or methods where none exists to accomplish a task.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or similar fields or equivalent experience
Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (ex. Infor CSI or similar) performing typical accounting and procurement activities
Experience supporting projects, technology, technical writing, and proposal writing
Experience with network and communications systems
Experience with Adobe, MS Project, MS Teams, MS Excel, and MS Word
Demonstrated experience managing simultaneous tasks and competing priorities
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Must be available to travel 20-30% of the time
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with multiple departments within the organization to accomplish tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a similar field or equivalent experience
Must have a United States Secret level security clearance or be able to obtain one
Experience with the DoD Acquisition Process, understanding of the product life cycle
Certification in Program Management (PMP) and CCNA or other similar technical certifications
