SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command's Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii's (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
We are currently hiring an experienced Supervisor to oversee and manage the operations of the Personal Property Preparing Office (PPPO) at our Schofield Barracks, HI location. The Supervisor has overall responsibility for the safe operation of travel resources required for the movement of personal property.
Essential Functions include (but are not limited to):
Required to exercise independent judgment and to have direct interface with the Customer on a frequent basis.
Works under general supervision and guidance of the Transportation Division Chief and may be required to act on behalf of the Transportation Division Chief.
Responsible for planning, providing work direction, and administration of subordinates.
Monitor documentation control and security.
Adherence to approved procedures and policies.
Plans weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations to optimize efficiency and maintain high quality work standards.
Required to establish deadlines and priorities of work schedules established by higher supervision.
Selects workers and assigns task to be performed.
Reviews work in progress and on completion.
Administrative duties include all areas of personnel management including personnel evaluation, performance counseling, selection of candidates to fill vacancies, disciplinary actions, schedule of leave time, and promoting involvement in company programs.
May be cross-utilized in other job areas.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Work Conditions:
Duties are normally performed in an office environment but may be required to spend time outside under various environmental conditions.
Will be required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, carry items and walk periodically throughout the workday.
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Requirements:
Education/Experience/Skills
High School diploma/GED.
Eleven (11) years of related experience.
Two to three (2-3) years' experience in supervision/management.
At least five 5 years transportation experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
Current HI Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include Drug, SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
