ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The SVP Finance, FP&A will oversee enterprise level planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and capital allocation. This is a highly strategic & visible team that partners closely with our C-Suite and cross-functional business leaders to develop key priorities for the business, as well as the financial plan required to deliver on our growth and profitability goals. Reporting to the CFO, this role will partner with various leaders across the business, influencing key decisions and driving value across the organization. Your role extends beyond analyzing and reporting; as a team, we take pride in a true partnership model and helping design and implement solutions to drive business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the corporate forecasting and budgeting processes, including Annual Planning as well as monthly forecast updates and business reviews.
  • Manage, develop, and build a best-in-class global team as the company evolves.
  • Be a thought partner to business leaders, helping to resolve competing business priorities and determine optimal investment allocations to drive our corporate goals.
  • Oversee regular reporting and analyses for the leadership team and Board on key financial and operating metrics, and help develop and implement action plans to promptly address opportunity areas or deficiencies
  • Serve on the finance leadership team and collaborate with CFO and fellow leaders on functional and people priorities. Bring to life the team vision to transform the function with technology and the finance skill sets of the future.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional senior leaders to help proactively plan for, advise and support introduction of new products/services or internal initiatives.
  • Partner with accounting to support month-end close, flux review processes, and deliver high-quality financial reporting.
  • Contribute to earnings releases, fundraising, M&A activities and other corporate initiatives in close partnership with our Corporate Strategy team.
  • Design, automate, and optimize flexible finance processes to meet the needs of a dynamic and fast-growing business environment.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Technology Group to optimize and evaluate the roadmap for financial systems optimization and implementation, where applicable. Champion and roll out technology enhancements and ensure the team is fully maximizing their potential.
  • Continually assess and drive improvements in all aspects of FP&A team operations, including organizational structure, operating processes, and systems - with the overall goal to reduce cycle times, improve monthly workflow, and reduce exposure to errors.


SUCCESSFUL SVP FINANCE, FP&A CANDIDATES HAVE:


  • 15+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance or planning required; 8-10+ years management experience required; previous software/SaaS industry experience strongly preferred.
  • A strong executive presence and interpersonal skills with proficiency in distilling complex business information into consumable and actionable takeaways.
  • Expertise in financial modeling with strong working knowledge of GAAP. Extensive experience architecting integrated models from scratch.
  • Proven leadership skills and adept at building and motivating globally distributed teams with tech-enabled processes. Able to anticipate and get in front of potential roadblocks.
  • Intellectual curiosity with problem solving orientation. Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen with ability to apply rigorous logic and sound methods to solve multi-faceted problems. Not satisfied with easy or convenient answers.
  • A systems-thinking mindset. Experience in designing and implementing new systems and tools.
  • A willingness to play "up and down the stack" diving into the details as well as managing exec level communications.
  • The ability to balance the company's values with financial goals.
  • Experience leveraging tools such as Onestream, Adaptive, Salesforce, NetSuite, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
  • Public Company or Private Equity backed company experience strongly preferred, but not required.
