SUMMARY
Provides analytical and financial support to all areas of Fixed Operations as the primary contact in areas of budgeting and reporting. Looks at the financial health of Fixed Operations programs and performance, then makes recommendations for improvements and alerts key personnel on potential issues.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with Fixed Operations management to develop and maintain reporting elements on key metrics, financial and performance-based, related to aftersales, warehouse, and third-party vendor performance. Analyzes large amounts of financial data in conjunction with key operational factors, establishing correlations for trend reports that will enhance planning throughout Fixed Operations. Determines which elements are relevant to each request and where to obtain the information, which could include financial statements and various databases. Ensures data integrity, as data is utilized by Executive management and Subaru Corporation (SBR). (35%)
• Develops and maintains the Accessory business plan of ~$500Mm, including numerous projections that occur during the year, by analyzing previous trends and reviewing market forces. Independently creates business plan before its review and approval by the Fixed Operations Strategic Planning Manager; business plan is delivered to Accounting and SBR and is crucial for operational planning. (10%)
• Oversees strategy and execution for retailer bonus administration, development, reporting and refinement, as well as input on the District Parts/Service Manager (DPSM) bonus, Field Summit, and Parts and Accessories Bonus budgeting and refinement. (30%)
• Creates PowerPoint presentations and Visual Reporting for the various Fixed Operations Directors and VP of Fixed Operations as requested. These presentations will generally need to represent and display business information or analysis of financial information. The audience could be retailers, SBR, or top management thus, the output must be professional and accurate. (5%)
• Acts as primary liaison with business owners in Fixed Operations to provide support in developing and managing their program budgets. Oversees capital budgets/projects. Meets with each major stakeholder regularly and keeps the Fixed Operations Strategic Planning Manager aware of any anomalies or issues as they arise. (5%)
• Validates the importing and normalization of repair order data to ensure accurate reporting. Obtains and analyzes data using knowledge of data pulls and repair order operations in order to contribute to business strategy development. Identifies opportunities for system improvements and works with appropriate technical resource for any updates. (5%)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Working knowledge of Fixed Operations business areas and profit drivers.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
• Expertise in Excel and proficiency in other reporting tools such as Qlik, and/or OneStream.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to communicate financial and operational data to all levels of the organization and various departments.
• Ability to utilize business intelligence tools for analytics.
• Bachelor's degree, or continuing education, in Accounting or Finance preferred, or continuing education in the Accounting/Finance field including postgraduate coursework or continuing education certificates.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 6-8 years' experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Required Travel: 10%
COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $81300 - $11000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
