Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Analyst. This company is a well-established Investment Advisor located in the Financial District of Boston. The Accounting Analyst will assist in preparing and maintaining quarterly and annual financial reports, various reconciliations, and annual tax return schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares quarterly journal entries required for the quarterly Fund financial reporting process


• Prepares quarterly and annual Fund financial statements and supporting workpapers


• Interacts directly with Auditors to handle open items on assigned group of Funds


• Assists Asset Managers and Fund Managers in resolving audit issues that arise on property partnerships and resolution of investor accounting questions


• Prepares annual Fund tax trial balances and tax return supporting schedules


• Prepares various quarterly reconciliations


• Performs ad hoc requests and projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline


• 1-2 years of direct experience in accounting/finance field, preferred


• Knowledge of GAAP required


• Ability to learn, and effectively use and deploy, proprietary databases, applications, and related reporting tools, as required


• Experience with financial statement preparation, preferred


• Ability to actively engage with other team members as part of a collaborative environment


• Ability to produce clear and effective communications for a variety of stakeholders


• Ability to organize, prioritize assignments, and to meet established deadlines


• Intermediate MS Excel skills with the ability to clean and manage data sets


• MSWord skills with the ability to create, edit, and save documents

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
