Sales Manager, Pre-Owned Capital Industrial Equipment at Jetstream in Tampa, Florida

Job Description:

Key Activities/Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets

  • Identify and target potential customers in various industries

  • Service existing accounts and ensure effective and continuous customer communication/interaction

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer satisfaction

  • Create and supply information such as pricing and quotations for parts and service

  • Establish a complete program for evaluating the condition of pre-owned equipment and setting actual cash value and market value. Acquiring assets at the correct value is critical to business segment profitability

  • Establish complete program on reconditioning pre-owned equipment

  • Recommend product enhancements as well as new ideas on equipment reconditioning techniques

  • Monitor the profitability and margin requirements on pre-owned equipment sales

  • Close deals while adhering to financial objectives and ethical standards

  • Perform outbound sales calls and customer visits to promote offerings

  • Attend and coordinate relevant regional and national trade shows

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%, often overnight

  • Submit required monthly and expense reports on a timely basis

  • Other duties and assignments as assigned

  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships

    • Provide exceptional customer service, including equipment demonstrations technical consultations, and post-sales support

    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction

    • Support customer inquiries, needs and concerns



  • Market Analysis & Inventory Management

    • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities

    • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to maintain an optimal inventory

    • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management



Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, or related preferred, or equivalent related experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably in used capital equipment

  • Strong understanding of the used equipment market, pricing strategies, and asset valuation.

  • Knowledge of diesel-powered waterblasters or similar is highly desirable

  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market conditions and equipment value.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Capability to work in industrial environments, including occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
