The Junior Sales Support Coordinator reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and is an integral part of a dynamic sales service team, which also includes the Sr. Sales Support/EDI Coordinator. This position collaborates closely with the Sr. Sales Coordinator, Regional Sales Managers, Brokers, and Customers to provide essential technical information, product applications, administrative support, and efficient customer order and accounts payable follow-up.
The primary focus of the Junior Sales Support Coordinator is to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. As customer needs evolve, the role may require proactive initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, going beyond the outlined duties to maintain a high level of service.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
1-3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or a related administrative role.
Prior experience in a similar industry or role (such as manufacturing, retail, or logistics) is beneficial.
Strong Communication Skills (written and verbal) to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and other departments.
Organizational and Time-Management Skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Internal processing of sample requests, order entry, production, shipping, and billing, accurately and professionally, to maintain customer engagement and satisfaction.
Receive and process customer orders through fax, electronic data interchange (EDI), mail, or email.
Ensure all orders meet the required minimums for prepaid freight (if applicable), confirm pricing accuracy, and include any necessary additional charges such as Freight, Small Order, Artwork, and Plate Charges.
Confirm all orders through the appropriate method (EDI, email, or fax) as required by the customer.
Expedite orders through the Supply Chain Manager/Production Controller as necessary.
Follow up promptly on any back orders and provide timely updates to all affected parties.
Maintain daily filing and organization of all customer invoices.
Log and track QA complaints.
Resolve short payments for respective accounts promptly and assist the Credit Analyst with payment details and collection of past-due accounts receivable.
Ensure that all sales-related deductions are addressed in a timely manner.
Process sample requests according to the defined process, following up when necessary to ensure timely completion.
Serve as a backup for the Sr. Sales Support Coordinator as needed.
Assist in hosting Sales Representatives or Customer visits to the plant when required.
Compensation Range: $50,000- $55,000 annually. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
