Our client is looking for a scrappy Project Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial services processes and systems, with the ability to analyze complex data, provide actionable insights, and drive business performance improvements. While experience with Azure or Snowflake is preferred, it is not a requirement. This role requires a strong project management focus and the ability to work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure the successful implementation of business initiatives and system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business needs, processes, and financial data to provide insightful recommendations for operational improvements and decision-making.
Gather, document, and analyze requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all departments.
Support the development and delivery of key business solutions, ensuring effective project management from initiation through to implementation.
Work closely with IT teams and other cross-functional departments to support the design, development, and integration of new systems or enhancements.
Lead or contribute to project management efforts, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to provide actionable insights that improve business processes, efficiency, and performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, IT, Risk, Compliance, and HR) to ensure that business goals are aligned and delivered effectively.
Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other documentation to key stakeholders, including senior management.
Participate in defining and implementing process improvements to enhance the overall effectiveness of the organization.
Support the integration of new technologies (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, or other data management systems) where applicable, to streamline business processes and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience (5-7 years) as a Business Analyst within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
Familiarity with data analytics and data management tools; experience with Azure, Snowflake, or similar platforms is a plus, but not required.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Knowledge of financial modeling, reporting, and data visualization techniques is an advantage.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and manage competing priorities.
