Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight: Lead and mentor the tax team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and filing of all tax returns, with a focus on SALT, sales and use tax, and indirect tax compliance.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute tax strategies that optimize compliance, identify savings opportunities, and manage risks effectively.
Policy & Research: Monitor and interpret tax regulations and trends, providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance across all entities.
Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison for tax audits, overseeing the resolution of audit-related issues.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the company's go-to advisor for SALT, GST, VAT, and other global indirect taxes.
Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to align tax strategies with overall business objectives.
Process Improvement: Oversee tax software utilization (e.g., OneSource Indirect Tax Solutions) and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.
Experience
7+ years in tax management, with a focus on SALT and pass-through entities.
Proven leadership and team development experience.
Exposure to GST and VAT is highly desirable.
CPA is required
