Tandym Group has an immediate opportunity for an Epic A/R Manager with a client in Texas. This role will be focused on improving A/R performance for a health system undergoing an Epic transformation.
Responsibilities:
Manages and oversees all revenue cycle activities related to billing, collection, denial management, insurance follow up.
Performs statistical data analysis, and prepares trending reports of key A/R performance metrics.
Develops strategic plans for the A/R team and ensures that goals and objectives are properly defined and clearly established.
Monitors, tracks, and evaluates staff productivity and performance.
Promotes best practices in automation and workflow management used for claims submission and collection activities.
Utilizes information technology to improve recoveries and reduce accounts receivables. Assists with the development of front end edits based on denial trends.
Collaborates with key stakeholders within the revenue cycle to develop effective policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
Develops effective working relationships with insurance carriers, subcontractors, provider enrollment, managed care and the Office of Compliance.
Assist with the development of quality assurance protocols and manage results.
Must Have Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in Revenue Cycle operations.
3+ years of managerial experience withinHB A/R management (experience managing the management/supervisory layer over collections).
Understanding of how to drive performance for both A/R supervisors and individual contributors.
Understanding of how a Hospital Revenue Cycle Business office works.
Understands the difference between and nuances of different insurance companies
Expert level knowledge of back-end revenue cycle process including patient access, claims, denials management, appeals, billing, collections and follow-up.
Understands that collecting on denials is different than collecting claims in the 0-60 bucket.
Experience within a large hospital or integrated healthcare delivery system.
Strong experience utilizing Epic for Revenue Cycle operations.
Experience with utilizing Epic Reporting and working with claims data
Identify trends, root causes and opportunities for A/R performance improvement.
Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Operations Process Improvement

Any Revenue Cycle certifications such as CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)
