As an enterprise strategy intern you will get an opportunity to apply your business and/or technology skills working with executives to drive corporate strategy. Being a part of a Blue Cross Blue Shield system, you'll get to see and learn first-hand executive decision making, influential leadership and how to take a strategy and drive planning that makes it happen.
By the end of your paid internship, you will have participated and presented internal consulting engagements, conducted competitive market research and benchmarking reporting, all the while networking within the health insurance industry.
This paid internship will be located at our corporate headquarters in Meridian, ID and may have some opportunity for hybrid work.
What we are looking for in an intern:
Currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably a junior or senior standing or graduate student
Critical Thinking/Analysis and Problem-Solving skills
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
Experience with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI or other visualization tool a plus
Ability to use existing resources to conduct research
Significant experience with MS Office
Good verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment
Ability to engage, collaborate and share your thoughts and ideas
Enjoy working in teams and having fun while making a difference
What you will learn on this internship:
Participate in informal and formal opportunities to learn/grow in understanding of Health Insurance industry
Create and deliver presentations and use visualization tools such as Tableau, or Excel charts and graphs in analysis
Research and strategize new or enhanced products and services
Collaborate with leaders (VP through Manager) on business and process management through current and future state mapping
Analyze and Aggregate data from different systems
Conduct financial and business future state modeling analyses
