Senior PRA Engineer | Energy | San Francisco Bay Area, CA (Remote)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to evaluating, modeling, and managing risk to ensure the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of our systems and operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of probabilistic risk assessment models and analyses.
Perform detailed fault tree, event tree, and reliability analysis for complex systems.
Develop and refine risk metrics to inform decision-making and improve operational outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Review and validate PRA models, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and methodologies.
Present risk assessment findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of PRA tools and techniques.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in probabilistic risk assessment, reliability engineering, or a related discipline.
Proficiency with PRA tools and software (e.g., SAPHIRE, CAFTA, RiskSpectrum).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to handle complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Experience leading risk assessment projects or teams is highly desirable.
