Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator - Electrical to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical projects, including large industrial and commercial installations and projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, project specifications, and competitive pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work for electrical projects.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead for various electrical installations.
Utilize estimating software such as ConEST or Surecount to streamline the estimating process.
Work closely with project managers and engineers to analyze project requirements and provide input on design alternatives.
Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate estimates.
Monitor and evaluate project performance and make adjustments to estimates as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the industrial or commercial sectors.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
Proficiency in estimating software such as ConEST and Surecount.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
