Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Managing Director - Engineering & Manufacturing to lead and develop a successful sales and recruitment team. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, mentoring team members, and achieving individual and team profitability in a specific geographic market and vertically.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in leadership, a passion for empowering others, and a record of accomplishment of exceeding goals in the staffing industry.
Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development (50%)
Meet and exceed performance expectations for individual quotas and team GM.
Develop and maintain customer relationships through prospecting and solution selling.
Conduct weekly client meetings and check-ins, both virtual and in-person.
Identify client needs and craft tailored staffing solutions.
Drive account expansion by planning and implementing growth strategies.
Community Engagement and Marketing (20%)
Participate in career development and networking events to establish yourself as a market expert.
Strengthen Applied Resource Group's brand recognition through social media and community involvement.
Identify gaps in marketing strategies and collaborate to enhance materials.
Team Leadership and Mentorship (20%)
Mentor and develop recruiting and sales team members, helping them discover niche verticals and refine strategies.
Set clear performance goals and hold regular reviews (90-day, annual, etc.).
Lead recruiting and sales managers with training in leadership best practices and team management.
Foster a culture of accountability and professional development.
Strategic Alignment and Collaboration (10%)
Work with leadership to align team and company goals, providing recommendations for organizational growth.
Collaborate with recruiting and sales teams across the company to define and enforce business development strategies.
This role is dynamic, and the percentages provided represent a general allocation of responsibilities; however, additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve to ensure continued success and alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
Over 7 years of proven leadership in managing customer-focused sales teams, driving revenue growth, and enhancing client satisfaction.
5+ years of staffing industry experience with a proven record in recruiting and sales.
Success in creating and managing client pipelines using CRM and sales enablement tools.
Experience in managing sales professionals including performance evaluation and career development.
Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Proven ability to engage with leadership teams to recommend strategies for improvement.
Multitasking and prioritization skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
