We are seeking a talented individual for the role of Citrix EUC Engineer. This is a full time position. Candidates must live in the service area and report to the Portland office or other locations as needed to perform job duties. This role reports to the Director of End User Compute.
This role focuses on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, DaaS, Microsoft AVD, and associated End User Experience solutions.
Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with travel up to 10% of the time during weekdays. Occasional weekend work may be required.
Duties/Responsibilities
Work remotely or on-site with customers as a Project Engineer deploying EUC solutions to customers.
Architect and deploy Application and Desktop virtualization solutions as they relate to Citrix Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD), VMware Horizon and End User Experience and other technologies as assigned
Install, configure, and maintain Citrix servers, NetScalers and related systems
Enhance system performance, optimize configurations for reliability, scalability and performance.
Diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic problems related to availability, security, performance, connectivity and overall functionality
Meet with customers to discuss and outline new technologies that improve and enhance their current environments
Ensure that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to the deployment, integration, and operational support of our customer environments
Meet with customers, OEMs and RSI team members in-office, onsite and remotely as required to perform job duties effectively
Other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in a senior or architect role focused on Virtual App and Desktop solutions.
Extensive experience with Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops, DaaS and NetScaler
Experience deploying, maintaining, and upgrading Virtual Application and Desktop environments, on-premises or in Microsoft Azure
Experience administering Windows 2016/2019/2022
Experience managing desktop operating systems including Windows 10/11
Experience deploying AVD and Nerdio is desirable
Wide range of knowledge and experience supporting and troubleshooting Active Directory, endpoint devices, printing, profile management, and end user experience is required
One or more certifications supporting Citrix, VMware or Microsoft Virtual Desktop delivery is desirable
Stay current on EUC technologies, industry trends, and best practices
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced scenario
Candidate must be able to present ideas in user-friendly language
Candidate must have a valid Driver's license and vehicle insurance
