Your role as a Commissioning Engineer:

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll lead commissioning efforts to ensure buildings perform at their peak. Your work will focus on optimizing building systems, reducing operational costs, and enhancing occupant comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans tailored to each project.
  • Perform commissioning activities on various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications through testing and verification.
  • Review system installation, performance, and control operations for new and existing buildings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in building automation and MEP systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for energy savings and operational improvements.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3-5+ years of commissioning experience OR 5-10+ years in related fields like MEP systems or building automation.
  • Proven experience leading new construction commissioning projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and automation technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, identifying potential issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage clients and teams effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or EIT certification.
  • Industry certifications such as LEED AP, CEM, BCxP, or CCP.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 20% for on-site commissioning.
